COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Electronics was introduced in the twentieth century by three key components—the vacuum tube, the transistor, and the integrated circuit. In 1883, Thomas Alva Edison discovered that electrons will flow from one metal conductor to another through a vacuum. This discovery of conduction became known as the Edison effect, the first applications of electron tubes were in radio communications. Electronic engineering deals with the research, design, integration, and application of circuits and devices used in the transmission and processing of information. Electronic engineers design circuits to perform specific tasks, such as amplifying electronic signals, adding binary numbers, and demodulating radio signals to recover the information they carry. The Department imparts technical knowledge in the areas of Semiconductor devices, Design of Electronic circuits, Communication Engineering., Television Engineering., Satellite communication, Optical communication, Computer hardware interface and Biomedical instrumentation.. .
